The Averill Park Golden Knights are excited to kick off another football season under the lights on Friday night against Hoosick Falls/Tamarac. Ahead of the first home game of the season, we want to remind our fans of the rules to maintain a safe and energetic environment this year.
There is one new guideline we ask students to follow this football season.
- All Averill Park High School and Algonquin Middle School students must show their school ID to gain entry.
- Gates open at 6:15.
- Averill Park students must enter through the main gate.
In addition to the new guidelines, we will continue enforcing the rules set in previous years for the safety of all of our fans.
- All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult and sit in the bleachers and watch the game.
- Students cannot attend if they are on their school’s ineligibility list.
- There is no re-entry for students.
- No spectators should be on the adjacent fields or in the woods at any time.
- No confetti, colored smoke bombs, electronic megaphones, whistles, etc. are permitted at any time.
We will be honoring our local first responders on Friday in remembrance of the September 11 attacks. Please arrive on time for a special pregame ceremony featuring local police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel.
