In July 2024, the New York State Board of Regents passed an amendment to improve access to higher education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the New York State DREAM Act determines a student’s eligibility for financial aid to attend a college or career school.
Under New York State Education Law, all schools must verify that high school seniors have either:
- Completed the FAFSA or DREAM Act application, OR
- Signed a FAFSA or DREAM ACT Waiver Form indicating that they have chosen not to file one of these applications at this time.
If you do not plan to complete the FASFA application, be sure to complete this form and submit it to the Counseling Center:
This can be delivered in person by your Senior, or can be emailed to houserb@apcsd.org.
If you have any questions, please call our Counseling Center at (518) 674-7025.
