The Averill Park Central School District invites residents to hear from the candidates running for the Board of Education during a Meet the Candidates Night on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 PM. On the same night, the District will hold a Budget Hearing at 6:30 PM and a Board of Education Meeting at 7:45 PM. The community is invited to attend all of these events.
There are three (3) candidates seeking two (2) open seats on the Board of Education this year. Each carries a new three-year term beginning July 1, 2024. Candidate biographies will be posted on the District website in the near future.

The Meet the Candidates Night will include a question-and-answer period. To submit a question, email submitquestions@apcsd.org by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 3. Questions should be general and addressed to all candidates. Due to time constraints, all questions may not be answered. The District may compile and edit questions based on popular themes.
Candidates will each be allowed a two-minute introduction to begin. This will be followed by a series of questions asked by the moderator which each candidate will have a set time to respond. A one-minute closing statement per candidate will end the session.
